What we collect and why
- Enquiries to us – your name, phone, email, trade and message, so we can reply to you.
- Customer accounts – your business details, login email and what you add to your website, so we can provide the service, and payment records for our accounts and tax.
- Security logs – basic technical details such as IP addresses, used to protect our websites from abuse and spam.
Our lawful bases are: taking steps at your request before a contract and providing the service to you (contract), keeping records we're required to (legal obligation), and protecting our systems (legitimate interests).
Enquiries sent to our customers' websites
When you contact a business through a website we host, that business decides how your details are used. We store the message securely on their behalf and don't use it for anything else. Contact the business directly about your details.
Who we share it with
Only the services we need to run things – for example our domain and DNS provider (Cloudflare) and our payment provider. We don't sell or share your details for marketing.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't lead to anything are deleted within 12 months. Customer records are kept while you're a customer and for up to 6 years afterwards for tax purposes.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your details, or object to how we use them, by contacting us at [email protected]. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your details you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
